Business Development Manager

BarkleyREI has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager to advance the agency’s growth strategy in the tourism and travel vertical.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of a business development pipeline

  • Generate, develop, qualify and track leads and sales opportunities
  • Identify high value growth opportunities and develop tailored client acquisition strategies
  • Deliver unique, creative and tactical solutions to meet specific prospect needs and challenges
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations, with exceptional quality and timeliness
  • Maintain expert knowledge of digital marketing trends and be able to convey that expertise to prospects and clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the digital marketing industry
  • Achieve specific sales goals

Communicate with client and agency organizations

  • Interact with many levels of the Client and Agency organizations and differing personalities
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes involved instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Qualifications and requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of digital marketing agency experience (preferably in a senior business development role or senior account management role)
  • Experience working in a senior sales or management position within a tourism & travel, destination marketing or hospitality organization is a major plus.
  • Successful track record in sales
  • Passion for digital marketing and website design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills especially in respect to proposal writing and oral presentations
  • Detail oriented;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Willingness to travel
