BarkleyREI has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager to advance the agency’s growth strategy in the tourism and travel vertical.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of a business development pipeline
- Generate, develop, qualify and track leads and sales opportunities
- Identify high value growth opportunities and develop tailored client acquisition strategies
- Deliver unique, creative and tactical solutions to meet specific prospect needs and challenges
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations, with exceptional quality and timeliness
- Maintain expert knowledge of digital marketing trends and be able to convey that expertise to prospects and clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the digital marketing industry
- Achieve specific sales goals
Communicate with client and agency organizations
- Interact with many levels of the Client and Agency organizations and differing personalities
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes involved instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Qualifications and requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of digital marketing agency experience (preferably in a senior business development role or senior account management role)
- Experience working in a senior sales or management position within a tourism & travel, destination marketing or hospitality organization is a major plus.
- Successful track record in sales
- Passion for digital marketing and website design
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills especially in respect to proposal writing and oral presentations
- Detail oriented;
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Willingness to travel
